Switching Off and Letting the Ink Speak
Today was one of those heavy, grey days—the kind where pain sits too close and too loud. From countryside calm to coastal light
Today saw the departure of these two commissioned encaustic paintings. The first is a gentle rural scene with a cottage and grazing Manx Loaghtan sheep, full of layered texture and soft, earthy colours. The second captures the energy of the coast, with waves rolling in beneath a glowing sky and an old stone castle standing strong against the sea. Both pieces were a pleasure to create, and I’m delighted they’re heading off to their new home. Thank you to my lovely clients for

Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz Black Rocks Madeira After having spent the last few days feeling devastated having lost a dear friend. I decided to go to the studio this morning and just paint. I had been focused on working on the commission I’ve been doing, — I just started painting and suddenly I was shaking with emotion, mixing colours and painting . Llyn Dywarchen - Rhyd Ddu - An Encaustic Painting
In my latest painting, the soft encaustic layers blend light, texture, and colour to evoke the shifting skies and tranquil waters of Llyn y Dywarchen — where mist drifts over the hills and the land glows with late golden light. Situated above Drws y Coed in Dyffryn Nantlle, near Rhyd Ddu. 50cm x 21cm £695 #EncausticArt #LandscapePainting #WelshArt #LlynDywarchen #Eryri #NatureInspired #ArtOfWales #RhydDdu #EncausticPainting

New Encaustic Painting: Memories of Ramsey
Working in encaustic, with its layers of melted wax and pigment, allowed me to explore the textures and atmosphere of the scene in a unique way. It pushed me creatively, but it was one of those projects that reminded me exactly why I love what I do.
