A few days ago, I shared the exciting news about the launch of Encaustic Hive UK — a vibrant new community created by encaustic artists Julie Ann and Lyn. This inspiring initiative is already bringing together artists across the UK, creating space for connection, shared knowledge, and a deeper appreciation of encaustic art.

I’m now delighted to share the link to the online exhibition, “Art of Place”:

Please remember to vote and comment on the last page and Share, SHare, SHARE! Thank you.

This beautifully curated exhibition, grant-funded by the International Encaustic Artists (IEA), showcases the work of UK-based encaustic artists, each exploring their own sense of place through the ancient and expressive medium of wax painting. From atmospheric landscapes to deeply personal interpretations, the work highlights the richness, texture, and history of encaustic art in the UK today.

I’m honoured to be part of this exhibition with my works Quiet Breath of Eryri – Anadl Tyner Eryri and Llyn Dywarchen, both inspired by the landscape and quiet presence of Eryri. Through layers of molten wax, these pieces reflect my ongoing connection to my home.

As Regina B. Quinn, President of the International Encaustic Artists, so eloquently says:

This is truly the epitome of what IEA hoped to accomplish through this grant initiative. And it portends so well for an ongoing connection among the artists you’ve gathered. What is so unique about your exhibit is that it not only highlights the works of UK artists, it also is interspersed with info about encaustics that allows all viewers to appreciate the artwork and its deep history all at one time.”

If you’re an encaustic artist, I warmly encourage you to join Encaustic Hive UK. There’s a real buzz building 🐝 — a sense of momentum, support, and shared passion that makes being part of this community truly special.

Together, we are helping encaustic art in the UK to grow, connect, and be seen.
