Milners Tower, Calf of Man | Encaustic Commission

A panoramic encaustic painting inspired by the rugged beauty of the Calf of Man, featuring the iconic Milners Tower standing proudly above the rocky headland.

Taking several days over weeks to complete, I built up layers of molten beeswax and damar resin to capture the dramatic skies, shimmering sea and richly textured foreground, alive with the pinks of heather and golden gorse.

Working with wax, heat and texture allowed me to explore the changing light and wild character of this distinctive coastal landscape. Each layer contributes to the depth and individuality of the finished piece.
