Over the last two months I have sold four pieces of artwork overseas. Three to Hong Kong and one to Pennsylvania. This must make me an international artist! One of the pieces was a commission of 'Fairy Glen' as the client loved the original but of course it had sold. It was tricky to create another picture similar to the first and I didn't want to create something exactly the same anyway. So different branches and different water. Must have been raining here in Wales! #
Paint smaller pictures Life has been a little hectic recently meaning less time in the studio. So I’ve been creating some smaller works with a difference. All roughly about 6” x 6”. We had a glorious trip over to Aberdyfi yesterday to deliver my paintings to Artworks. The journey in itself was inspirational. I am presently showing work on their guest wall and the exhibition runs: 22 June - 19 July 2019. I have chosen tonal pieces to exhibit this year full of texture and intrigue. The launch of the exhibition at Oriel Ty Meirion Gallery last Thursday evening was a wonderful event and I thank all of you that were able to come. Mima, the gallery owner, had displayed my work perfectly. The lighting showed up the texture and colours in all their glory.
